I follow...I can perceive your thought, certainly, though I can obv also perceive the flip side of the argument, of course, simultaneously...I'd merely rarely seen specifics about both USMC MCMAP as well as Army Combatives, and just found the article rather novel, if only for that reason...I've always loved aikido for a long while now, as well as iaido, and frequently regret never having done them while I'd been in, though I did very nearly go to an aikido dojo near where I'd been stationed, off-installation...to me, and of course, this is purely my thought, I've long wondered whether efforts have ever been made to combine both programs, where feasible...plus, I should certainly think they ought, and to me, with a good deal of sense, to be made requirements, in some fashion, for all svcs, irrespective of branch, for myriad reasons...though, as I'd said, that's of course purely my own view, certainly, by all means, of course....
