Col Joseph Lenertz My father was a juvenile detective. He knew that he could be accused to discredit him at any time so he avoided any circumstance that would appear untoward. He would even go as far as have me ride in the car with him if he had to give another minor a ride to remain above reproach. By making the request while withholding the security funds he has put himself in a questionable situation that has the appearance of impropriety. It may or may not have been intentional but it looks bad all the same and he has opened himself up to the appearance that he was committing quid-pro-quo. I’m sorry but he has done this to himself.

Col Joseph Lenertz he is asking for that foreign leader, rather demanding, that a foreign leader interfere with us politics. Do Ukrainian get to decide whether a crime was committed in their territory and there is no evidence of a crime.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Are you serious man, you Trump supporters... never mind. Here straight from the FECChair. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/03/fec-chair-subtweets-trump-after-plea-for-china-to-investigate-bidens.html

He truly believes any impeachment talks will fuel his base and swing voters to treat him as a victim and thus reelect him. The RNC press secretary on my fave POTUS Politics morning radio show suggested 50% of Independents disagree with impeachment and that’s good for Trump and GOP. Clearly her fuzzy math ignores that means 50% of independents also support impeachment and that’s good for Dems. We live in a political world of ignorance and propaganda. It’s embarrassing regardless of political affiliation.

I wished he would listen to his advisors from day 1, but it has become clear he rarely does that. Although there has been no evidence of a high crime or misdemeanor, there have been bountiful amounts of loud and unsubstantiated rhetoric, coming from Executive and Legislative branches.

MAJ James Woods - I agree with that assessment. And yet each of us has a standard of evidence, and we require more (or less) foundational data to say that we have it.

Col Joseph Lenertz Thus an impeachment inquiry is a defined process and method for obtaining facts to determine if there’s sufficient evidence that confirms or disproves allegations.

If I stab someone, admit I stab someone, confess completely... then the charges are dismissed because I was not properly Miradndized...
I have still “committed a crime”
Just because a Court of Criminal Law has not yet convicted me cannot change the fact that I (hypothetically) committed a crime.

Additionally the POTUS can’t possibly be Convicted of a crime, by current US Policy. Mueller’s investigations clearly showed the commission of multiple crimes worthy of charges/indictments. However it’s a technically that policy says the DOJ can’t indict a sitting President.
