Since 1999, more than 15,000 law enforcement agencies and more than 9,000 organizational partners have partnered with NSSF's Project ChildSafe program to distribute more than 38 million firearm safety kits, which include safety literature and a cable-style lock to gun owners in all 50 states and five U.S. territories. From 1999-2017, fatal firearms accidents have declined by 41%, according to the CDC WISQARS Injury Database.

Education is more important in gun safety. My children were taught at an early age to use firearms safely. It has given them a head start over their peers as every one of them has qualified from the beginning at the expert level. Teach them young and teach them right so they know what to do when they find a gun left out in the open.
