The tribes of that area have been fighting each other since before there were Jews and Muslims. I don't see any reason to believe they will ever stop.
Like our own indigenous tribes, the fighting will continue without outside interference. For example, the Lakota and the Pawnee fought constantly for hundreds of years, as well as the Lakota and the Crow, the Cheyenne and the Crow, and many others such wars. The only reason they stopped was the white men moving into the country, putting the tribes on reservations (or killing them) and enforcing peace between them. Is this what it will take in the Middle East?
I believe we already tried that when whites colonized the area. It didn't work then, I doubt it would work now.
