My parents escaped Mt Pinatubo as well. They contracted out shipment of their household goods days before the eruption. They took a cab to Manila, somehow they let a hooker ride with them. In Manila a robber tried to get my dad's gold chain.

Amazing how much destructive power a volcanic eruptions can produce. Amazing to watch an eruption as long it’s on TV.
