As I live and work just outside Chicago I did a quick analysis of "mass shootings" within Chicago. Considering Chicago accounts for just .83% of the US population a stunning 9.6% mass shooting have occurred this year within Chicago's city limits. Yet this is hardly ever reported by the MSM. I have a feeling this lack of concern has something to do with the city's gun laws, demographics of victim and shooters and or the democrat leadership that has persisted since 1931.
The vast majority of the mass shootings where drive by's or other criminal activity. We've had a couple of bad weekends recently - 46 people shot 5 killed in one weekend alone - and ever one of them were gang related. The Police Chief was blaming the legal system for not handing out longer sentences in the press conference as well confirming that everyone of the victims and or shooters was on their list of know gang members. Just curious however how that would be received by the city or the nation with mass incarceration as the majority of those that do get arrested for any "gun violation" are minorities. Other major cities like Baltimore stuck out as well. A common thread is that both have gun control laws in place.
Gun control does not and will not ever work for one simple reason criminals don't care about the law.

Has gun control made Baltimore safer? Data analyst says ‘No’
It can be said with certainty that none of the extremely stringent Gun Control laws implemented in Maryland lowered crime in Baltimore City.
