That's funny, You're not from Green Bay Wisconsin are you? I'm in Green Bay and I've only been able to find Two other Guys that were in ASA here so far.

Good info on the ASA. But I dispute the (alleged) end date for the ASA as being 1976. I was assigned to HHC, 307th ASA Bn (VII Corps) at Flak Kaserne in West Germany in November 1981. We were the only ASA unit for VII Corps and had companies and detachments spread all over the border in Southern West Germany. In March 1982, I was transferred to the 207th MI Det, 307th ASA Bn. My operating location was secret field site but we were housed at Kelley Barracks. In March 1983, the 207th MI Detachment became A Co, 307th Combat Electronic Warfare Intelligence (CEWI) Bn, 207 MI Group (VII Corps). I PCS'd from Germany in May 1983.
After deploying for the Gulf War, the entire VII Corps was disbanded in 1992. I don't know what happened to my old unit after that.

I'd check with Vern on the ASA Lives site. I can tell you we were shut down in 1973 and I was asked to join a Scout Platoon and became first responders in-country.
