But, it is the courts who are placing rules on the illegal use of power. When Congress passes laws that are illegal or unconstitutional, the courts sort it all out. When the executive abuses their power, it is the courts that rain them in! There are three official branches of government, with the Press keeping the truth in the public eye as an unofficial branch of checks and balances. It is Congress and the Executive branch that keeps the Courts in order.

There have been many an EGO out there that thought it would be otherwise! Fortunately, those check and balances have for the most part, worked in its own time and fashion for the betterment of us all. Hopefully we can all agree to that bit of truth.

Yet, we are only early in this Constitutional Crisis and all sides seem bent on dragging this out if their side does not win, with the hope the US Supreme Court rules in their favor. Hence the reason I said the balances occur in their own time and and fashion. We are just beginning to watch the system work its magic.

Doesn't make sense to me. The military defends and protects the country, so why not use military funds.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Not really, illegal immigration is costing this country BILLIONS of dollars every year. Many, if not most of them, live off the system. When my Grandparents came here, they did it legally and went through Ellis Island. Same with my wife, she is a Mexican citizen and came here legally. She has been a permanent resident for 35 years and is currently studying for her U.S. citizenship.
I am all for LEGAL immigration. So many people are coming here illegally in such huge numbers now, it is overwhelming our system and resources. We have to find a way to slow the flow so we can properly handle it.

SGT (Join to see) - I am not so sure about the cost. It depends on which "report" one reads.
