2LT Brian L. - Agreed. As for me some of the strongest folks (w/the right combination of physical skills and/or mental smarts) that I was fortunate to have served and still maintain strong friendships with were in IN, SF, SC, EN, QM and TC.
I remember an ROTC cadet that drilled and jumped with 3/12th SFG(A) via some program that was in place at the time (~ '86 -'88). Word was he wasn't initially thrilled when he received his commission and was assigned to a non-combat arms branch. Went on to serve (and retire @ 0-6) as a “support puke.” Career included getting airborne & foreign wings/pathfinder/82nd and way too much more to list. This California kid was indeed the dude but I’ll always address him as “Cadet” (or NICKNAME REDACTED).

MAJ (Join to see) - well aware but i strongly suspect you havens been in the field more than half a year running missions and training year after the way most non physical therapists live their Army careers ... i don't expect you to understand my comment but with a stretch and empathy to typical ground pounders it makes sense and of course he works out on his own... good on him

Great story. For you leaders, there maybe one thing missed. Your body sometimes needs rest to do it’s best. It’s not a bad idea to give your body a day or two break right before the APFT.
