We mourn the death of a father and daughter who died trying to cross the Rio Grande River. The truth is this is just the tip of a horror show that has been going on for decades. You can read about kidnapping, rape trees, human trafficking and dead bodies found on both sides of the border. Nature abhors a vacuum and if the United States won’t control the border the drug smugglers, human traffickers, and drug cartels will. Shame on our government! Asking law enforcement to ignore laws because you can not or do not have the will or ability to amend laws is not a solution.

Lock this dude up and throw away the key.
Everything about human trafficking is abhorrent, and there are no winners wherever it happens.
I've personally encountered systemic rape, forced labor, forced recruitment as child Soldiers, and a ring to traffic in organs and body parts. And there was a long ad bloody trail leading to that point in the supply line with untold numbers of dead and horrifically treated people.
You see stuff like that... it changes you.
