That could be because human stupidity trumps artificial intelligence.

Technology is great but I personally do not want it in my car. Repair prices are thru the roof. Recently an old military friend of mine hit a deer in her 2012 (pre most highly tech stuff) VW Tiguan. It broke the passenger side headlight, slight fender dent and cracked RF fender liner. Zero suspension damage. Any guesses on the repair bill? Over $6,800!?!? Sure it had active projector beam headlights with LED DRLs but that new headlight assembly itself was “only” $600-800.
