Rural Americans would be serfs if we abolished the Electoral College

Understatement of the month IMHO CPT Jack Durish. The founding fathers exercised great wisdom in establishing the requirements for the House of Representatives and Senate. The electoral college enables every state to participate and the caucus process requires the power brokers and candidates to focus on less populated states early on.

I agree, if we abolish the E.C. 7 to 8 states would control the presidency and the rest of us would have no voice at all.
