Some people who criticize this include OIF veterans. Our military must not only have tactical or technological, but moral superiority

I led a platoon in Iraq. Trump is wrong to pardon war criminals.
Soldiers pay attention to example. Murderous leaders command murderous units. (via: trendolizer.com)

Anyone that leads their comments with a statement referring to their service is using it as a means to validate the content, instead of letting their argument do that. I read this and agree he has some valid points and should have left it at that. It's like a car salesman her that always starts his advertisements with "I'm a veteran and veterans are always welcome", as if they aren't at any other dealership.

Trump has an absolute right to pardon whomever he wants to pardon, regardless of the wisdom of that action.

The right to do something and doing the right thing are not at all the same thing.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I did not claim you did say it. My intent was to expand on your comment: The president has an absolute right to do something but the right to do something and doing the right thing are not at all the same thing.
That seems to be inline with the second half of your comment. (paraphrased) The president has an absolute right to do something regardless of how wise or stupid it might be to do it.
