Yes, seeking asylum and safety in what used to be a caring and humane country.

These people left their homes in Guatemala and El Salvador and navigated 1000+ miles (allegedly sometimes trudging on foot) through Mexico (a veritable third world country) which is known as a haven for drug cartels and human traffickers and kidnappers. They endured hunger and poor weather conditions and God only knows what else, arriving at a "dangerous border city". Then, and only then, they “face violence in Mexico” because President Trump’s new policy compels them to wait in the city they came to voluntarily? Preposterous.
CW5 Jack Cardwell is not wrong. They endangered themselves.

It would be good to see that. As you drive across the desert anywhere there is a phone BP there will be bottles of water for them. they are told to call and they will be picked up.

It seems to me (then again, I'm being sensible) that the UN should be sent to their home countries and examine their claims. After all, thats' what they are paid to do. Giving them asylum is temporary. Their home needs to be fixed.

Brother where did you come from. Common sense isn't often used Nice to see. I believe at one time I heard of folks trying to help them in their own country in fact my buddies church group was one of the groups that left each year to build a house for someone. but their government every where but Mexico wouldn't let them.
