Soldier who stole, resold shell casings gets nearly 3 years in prison

PO1 H Gene Lawrence: I had a client whose husband sexually assaulted her 14 year old daughter (his step daughter). He was also caught stealing det cord, C4, bullets, etc. He received one year for the sexual assault and nine years for stealing the det cord, etc. While in prison he petitioned to adopt the step daughter while appealing his sentence.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - I've worked in family law since I started practicing, and I've also done criminal defense for several years. Now, I just practice in the area of family law. But at times there are criminal cases involved in the family law cases. There are times I am astounded at the audacity of people who are convicted of crimes against the family but still want parenting time, etc.
