"While proposals to raise pay are intended to help workers, several mom-and-pop coffee shops as well as restaurants are responding by cutting hours, eliminating jobs or closing down entirely because they can't keep up with rising wages under the law." ---- Told you so. Minimum wage was not meant to be a living wage. Now these small business are suffering. How are they going to make a living?

It's not the billionaires doing this. It's the politicians who support the minimum wage hike that is causing all this.

A business has to make a profit or go out of business. This means fewer employees and additional automation. Those that are let go won’t be able to afford what their former employee sold to their customers. Tell those franchisee’s about all their billions. Capt. Conyers has spent way to much time on the left coast.
