Jesse Kuhaulua, an American Hawaiian, went to Japan to become a Sumo wrestler and became the first foreign born national champion. He decided to stay in Japan and operate his own stable of Sumo wrestlers after retirement. He was not a dual citizen. Naomi is of dual citizenship and could use the time until her decision to lobby for Japan to liberalize its citizenship requirements. She is a big enough star that if she would suggest she is going to pick the US, to keep her as a citizen they may reconsider their long standing position on citizenship. We can only hope

I saw Jesse when I was fairly young. He gave my parents a handprint.

Mine was football, PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. Interesting article.

On November 24, 1966 at the Gator Bowl, Robert E. Lee HS, my alma mater, played Andrew Jackson HS in the annual Thanksgiving Day rivalry. The game ended in a 7-7 tie. For me (and many others), it was the last organized tackle football game I ever played. I’m #81, second from the right.

LTC Stephen C. At 6'5" and 133 Lbs, I wasn't exactly Built for Football but Seeing "Slendy Man" Rushing the Net on a Tennis Court I'm Sure was Quite Intimidating for My Opponents.

Threw up a photo, PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. Check it out! I was 185 pounds, but still the smallest guy on our offensive line. Thankfully, I was an end, and was split wide on many plays. Still had to play tight end and double team the tackle, so sometimes I was right in the middle of a big mess!
