With more jobs available than there are workers to fill them, according to business insiders and industry experts, why is this an unreasonable Federal Mandate? How long do we have to continue to let able-bodied adults utilize "Welfare" (all forms; Federal, State, Local and Private) as a life choice without any consequence? The article is very short on the details and I suspect it is that way to elicit an emotional response rather than be a thought provoking piece.

The major problem there is child care. If a single parent has a couple of kids, is uneducated or has little work experience, they will not be able to get a very well paying job. So, it is impossible to work at McDonalds and afford child care. So, both issues must be addressed together.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I agree this is a big problem. School lunches are often the only nutritional meal the kids will receive. Federal minimum is $7.25/hour which is $1,160/month. At $15/hour the total is $2,400/month.
