I know the soldier who is the subject of this article. He is now Corporal Valle and is still driving on in the first stage of being a NCO. Heart surgery didn’t slow him down and I’m proud of his over all resiliency!

Spc. Alexis Valle couldn't have been taken to a better place. I was at Ft Sam for a time and lots of others as well as myself wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for the high quality expert care from the people stationed there.

SGT (Join to see) I was wishing I was there right now, but today I had an appointment with ER doctors and got a PA who is an ex Marine corpsman and is currently an officer in the Army Reserve. I broke my shoulder last Wednesday and all I got was a sling to keep it immobile. This guy found it is healing and set the sling properly. We both spent time at Ft Sam. He was working and I was a patient. Just the little adjustment made all the difference today, so thanks for all each of you do. Every encounter I have with soldiers and former soldiers is a terrific experience.
