Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 28-year-old who defeated a powerful House Democrat, has an asteroid...

I can program computers. It's what I do for a living. And I can tell you, the output is only as good as the decision matrix's that have been programmed in. I don't doubt her intelligence. But intelligence is not just raw computing power. It is also all the programming that went in up to this point. In the end, we call it wisdom. And that is what I see she is lacking.
The problem I see with most politicians is the willingness to trade wisdom, principles and ethics for prestige, power and money.

At this point I would say it is setting up to gain those things. She already behaves as if she has power. Just take a listen to how she speaks about us that are NOT in the Senate.

Oh, as far as the money goes. When elected she complained that she could not afford an apartment in DC. Now she is in a very private "apartment". Very pricey as well.

It does. I should add, never underestimate the intelligence of those in politics. You just don't fall into it. Does not mean that they have the willingness to follow the rules (Constitution) when they get there. I honestly cannot name a politician who does support and defend the Constitution 100%. Not even 85%. Most I would label as paying lip service to the Constitution.

Thank you Capt Daniel Goodman for that piece of history and science regarding Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the asteroid named after her... Several things come to mind as a result. 1st, the asteroid 23238-Ocasio-Cortez is 240 million miles from Earth...and suffice it to say that she is "Far Out", and 2nd, she is very cold out there 240 million miles in space, 3rd, she must have a rocky core... and 4th, it takes her 1,409 days or 3.8 Earth years to Orbit the Sun... Sounds like a great place for her to remain... LOL! I just had to put a little levity into it..., but I loved the Post and it is another piece of science to store in my memory... Have a great evening!

Maybe she should have stuck with science. Her views on economics and politics are so poorly thought out that it makes one wonder how she dresses herself each morning. For example, when she states that America wasn't capitalist at its beginning or that capitalism is the economics of greed, she has opened herself to criticism by the truck load. Capitalism is not an economic system. It is merely the use of capital as specie in the exchange of goods and services. Every economic system other than barter uses it, even socialism. Free market capitalism, which is the economic system she is attempting to attack, is not founded in greed. On the contrary, it is fosters the free exchange of goods and services, using capital as specie to effect the exchanges, based on mutual agreement. Each party to each exchange gets exactly what they want for the price they are will to pay. Greed most often rears its ugly head in socialism when the greediest among us claw their way to the top where they can dictate economic exchanges to their own benefit.
