How to End Endless War

Here is why I read publications and websites published by those with points of view in opposition to mine: "Never turn your back on the sons of bitches!" And, every once in a while, they give you pause to think. They challenge our assumptions and we must either answer them or be swayed by them. Others will be swayed. I'm certain that everyone here on RP heard the statement (most likely more than once) that no one hates war more than those who have to fight it. Well, it's opinions such as this that start wars. Why? Simply put, we do not live in a world ruled by reason and people with evil intent abide among us. They feed their egos by dominating the weak until they gather a following sufficient to make them a threat to the strong. Yes, there would be no need for a "supreme power" to maintain order if all nations simply banned together to put down the bullies of the world, but that has never happened, has it? Watch a school yard. It is a microcosm of the world at large. Bullies prevail unless adults step in. Why? Because, the weak never realize the strength they could have if they banded together. In fear, they allow their peers to be bullied one-at-a-time. So, where does that leave us? Is America the adult? I guess so. Who would you rather see in that role? The United Nations? Forgive me while I roll on the floor laughing...
