A child was struck and killed in a single-car crash Wednesday in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
According to Kansas City Police, the deadly incident involving a company truck for Spire — a natural-gas company that operates in Missouri, Alabama, and Mississippi — happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. near 11th Street and Grand Boulevard.
The child’s age wasn’t immediately available.
The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
A spokesman for Spire was aware of the incident but said he was still gathering information.
