It has more to do with lifestyles than religious beliefs. A believer is far less likely to be disposed to activities that is destructive to mind and body. Religion provides solace to many in times of distress. Atheism believes in living life in any way that, theoretically, doesn’t effect others. That is the reason they are effected more in lifespans and health. Personally, my only gripe is both sides of the equation want to change the other. For the record, I’m an admitted Agnostic.

PO2 Robert M. I firmly agree that we not only have a brain affected by lack of faith, but our health in general disappears more quickly. If you have faith you have somewhere to go to find hope and peace.

Personally, I do not care what researchers say. I believe in God who is the Highest of All Powers. I have been a believer since the time I could reason and make conscience decisions. And I will not deny my beliefs or my faith in one true God in the Trinity.
Research to me does not matter when it comes to a belief system. Either you believe or you don't.

There are many studies that show the positive effects of belief and regular Church attendance. Just nice to know .
