Kind of a misleading article. "Destroy"?? That person needed to be drop kicked in the chest for pulling that crap. Being requested in a loud voice to get off the grounds is hardly destroying someone. I'm thinking a buttstock to the jaw needs to be added to the SOP for special people like this.

Should read: Person gets yelled at for acting childishly stupid.

It's clear she was just trying to get a closer picture of the tomb, but she should've read the rules that were probably clearly displayed for all visitors!! And yea, "destroyed" was too strong for this piece, more like she was "scolded!"

To a civilian, that probably turned the crotch of those white pants yellow. I'm guessing that wasn't the first time that soldier said that same thing.

Oddly enough, I haven't been to our tomb of the unknown, but, I have been to the Iraq version. Yeah, they have one.

She's lucky the QRF didn't come out from under the Amphitheater. She'd have been arrested, not just embarrassed.

And you know this because....??? The only way you would know this for sure would be that you served as a Tomb Sentinel, in which case revealing anything about the underground operations could be grounds for losing the privilege of being a Tomb Sentinel, OR a current or former Tomb Sentinel told you which would also be grounds for dismissal. Neither case I believe because Sentinels wouldn't be Sentinels if they couldn't keep their mouths shut.

Catherine Padgett - The Sentinels are the ones that actually walk the 21 paces. But there is more to it than that. Dozens of support personnel are in the vicinity in case they are needed and to prepare each Guard for their turn.
And yes, I was in 3/3 Inf from 1993-95.

I bet two or three drops of pee came out of her. Maybe more, I don't know, but at least two or three.
