It causes stress to have to juggle two careers and keep a stable home life. When it comes to your employers it’s like having to please both your spouse and your mistress.

The sacrifices of service are real, as we all know. Most of the time, the Guard and Reserve have less to do, and less time to do it in. However, since 9/11 - whole careers for many of us - we are expected to prepare and deploy and recover and do it again and again.
Life is hard in the armed forces.
In other news, water is wet.

I'm retired now, MSG (Join to see), but there were some times when I felt like pulling my hair out. With a brutal civilian workload and the USAR, responsibilities and obligations to my family suffered. There simply wasn't enough of me to go around!
