The church has done it for decades. The church investigates that the people who testify are told to not go to the police and if they do they are excommunicated. The priests would often get moved from one diocese to another instead of just being kicked out and put on trial. The church purposely tried to cover up for many decades. This is the problem when you try to have the oath of celibacy is it you end up having homosexual Predator priests. Straight priests could still be in trouble for sexual assault.

Capt Gregory Prickett Greg, it's just human nature and I'm sure all denominations of Christianity, Judaism and even Islam may have this problem. It's just sad that the Catholic church has had this excommunication threats for decades. I remember reading about this back in 2003 where is the church had an actual memorandum on how to handle it and it was being shown online. It Was Written in Italian. It was a memorandum from the Vatican on is how to deal with this issue but it was still secretive and not Justice at all.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Shameful allegations of one of the higher ranking Catholics, but unfortunately, there are a lot MORE!

This is an arguement to allow married Priests in my view. Married Priests have broader life experience by virtue of being married and would make much better Priests.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Wow your worked up in a tizzy over this. I guess this is a lesson for you to pay attention next time in your undergrad courses. I know you can sleep through Sociology 101 for the most part but this is a foundation course if you have a PHd and you should at least know of this list. BTW, UWM has the same standards as UW-Madison so it would be the same course in Madison. Additionally, I did not complete my R&P profile precisely for this reason, hackers and others on the Internet that can't seem to keep it together. At any rate, I told you I do not remember the exact reason it is ruled a cult, it is actually a list of reasons. I think you could probably Google the criteria list somewhere since it is taught in a major public University.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Actually, it is the same as Madison, same requirements not sure why you feel threatened by that. So with all that training in Sociology you never heard of this? Interesting. And I'll stick with what I was taught since it is a lot clearer than that amorphus cloud of babble you present.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Your telling me about a University you know nothing about and never attended. Actually it is the same with almost 100% course credit transfer between the schools from what I remember. Different from Marquette though.

Capt Gregory Prickett - You really are insecure about Texas A&M and I made no derogatory comments about it. Also interesting.
