Yes. As a former OC/T at NTC and married to a 67J, the Golden Hour is the standard period. But we observed about 20 BCTs that had zero plan to make it achievable. And there is no repercussion on unit leadership when they fail in training or down range.

I don’t believe this is an easy answer. For the recent past, we have enjoyed a level of air superiority that has allowed air MEDEVAC to the point of injury, or reasonably close. Additionally, our skills regarding ground evac have IMO, atrophied. When was the last time we saw a comprehensive evac plan encompassing track-wheeled, wheel-wheel ( when needed) and ground-air AXPs? Combine with a likelihood of higher casualty rates, and the system may become overwhelmed, either in specific AOs, or as a whole. There is a bigger risk equation that must be addressed, encompassing the location of our medical providers, and the assets needed to get a Soldier to said provider in time. This is more than just a medical or logistics issue, and will requiire a combined arms solution to properly address.
