My sister committed suicide in 2015. Alcohol was a factor. She must have had depression because she took Zoloft. Even if you are atheist or agnostic, having group meetings with others who are sharing in your desire for sobriety can give you the strength you didn't realize you had. Don't drink. Don't do drugs. Don't feel depressed if you don't have anybody in your life. I have a stepdaughter who dropped out of school in 9th grade, smokes pot, drinks and has heart problems. She lives on welfare but she's always chasing after other females because she has this loneliness that overrides her desire to succeed have her smoking pot as a used has messed her up where she stays up all night sleeps all day. Depression can really affect your perception of life.
