Now for the greatest hurdle of all times, the Veterans Administration. They routinely deny any claim out-of-pocket even when you have sufficient evidence to support the claim. The regional office has a policy not to approve a claim in hopes that you will not appeal your decision and that the appeal, in some cases will take another three years. I know one Veteran who has been waiting for a decision for over five (5) years. The V.A. claims that it takes that long because of the backlog of cases. And the regional offices seem to have the attitude that, "the guy will die and nothing to be paid to him."

About time but the government hasn't done much for the troops that were on the ground.
