A question: Over the years, do nuclear warheads lose some of their punch? Is there a shelf-life to a warhead beyond which you won't reliably get the yield it was original manufactured to produce?

Modern nukes rely primarily on Plutonium 239 as their fissile material, which has a half life of 24,100 years. So, the answer to your question is yes...in a couple thousand years.

Good to have the good old US of America get back on it's feet, and quit playing patty cake with Russia and China.
