NASA's 1st flight to moon, Apollo 8, marks 50th anniversary

I will always wonder where mankind would be at this point if the Apollo space missions had continued after Apollo 17 finished in 1972. We had the knowledge and capability to go to the moon back then, but no longer. We don’t even have Space Shuttles now. My oh my.
