Have a wonderful Friday night, my friend and brother-in-Christ SGT John " Mac " McConnell.
Heavenly Father, even when the sparrow falls YOU are aware. Yet when one of those created in YOUR image falls or is felled, YOUR compassion is boundless for those left behind. YOUR memory is perfect since all of time is always visible to YOU.
I pray that each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters will remember and honor relationship with the living while alive and keep memory of the dearly departed afterwards. Help us to be mindful of family members and friends and engage them in conversation as we fellowship. Guide us to contact those who are desperately lonely, ill or grieving. Help us to be encouragers to those who need encouragement.
YOU are sanctifying each of us. I pray that we each would be mindful to love and to listen carefully and attentively to those we interact with. Help us to honor each and every person we come into contact with independent of their station in life.
I pray LORD that YOU fill us freshly with YOUR Spirit throughout the day. Motivate us to earnestly seek YOUR specific will for our daily activities and to empower each to pour out love, compassion, encouragement and training as YOU guide us.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

There is one thing that still touches me deep down inside when I hear Taps, and my cousin Fred, was in the Marine Corps Band, as a bugle player after serving in Vietnam.

Sgt Albert Castro - Taps is so emothional for me that it gave me my first heart attack, at my brothers funeral in Oct 2011. I still have a hard time listening to the song and reliving the memories of all the times I have heard it played.

Sgt Deborah Cornatzer A lighted candle with our flag in the background is an excellent way to take some time and think about the brothers and sisters that we have lost.

“A coward dies a thousand times before his death, but the valiant taste of death but once. It seems to me most strange that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.” Shakespeare, Julius Caesar.
