General Motors wants to close plants in the United States and Canada and focus on electric vehicles. They had an electric vehicle back in the 1990's and they killed it by 2003. I remember seeing these in the showroom. The movie who killed the electric car? Shows what GM could have been. Is it really want to use labor in Mexico or China to build their next products?

Interesting share but I don't buy for a second that GM is going to focus on electric cars. Electric cars are a niche product that are practical for only a limited number of urban residents, not the overall American population. GM is going to focus on their bread and butter, intermediate sized SUVs.

You are right, overpriced old technology maybe it was some hybrid features but then charge the consumer $10,000 more than what the vehicle should be selling for.

SrA John Monette thanks to Natural Gas, it's cheaper to use natural gas than to build a nuclear power plant and it's way cheaper to do that then to do what Ontario did and go completely green and stupid and charge 300% more than the average utility because they were mismanaged by fanatical environmentalist types Governor or Premier win was voted out recently and Rob Ford is now a conservative who's going to scrap the cap and trade and disagree and not do carbon taxes with two other provinces because they know better than to listen to prime minister Trudeau and the Kyoto Accords.

LTC (Join to see) - I'd be perfectly fine with a natural gas or propane fueled vehicle. the VA uses propane for some of their work trucks. seems to work fine. and natural gas is cleaner than diesel or regular gas. I don't think it is feasible to go completely green. like you said, utility rates would skyrocket and salaries would not keep up. so you would have people who can't afford to heat or cool their houses. no bueno.

Foreign made elec. autos and gave them the best spots to park.. over a a couple years the idea slowed to a trickle and all the good spots are sitting empty because if a regular car parked in them it was like stealing a handicap space.. $200
Tickets.. towed to a lot out in the backside of the county.. Now that a certain President is gone... we are starting to get back to normal.. then Ocasia-Cortez comes along with her green plan.. and spend all the tax money President Trump gave back to the people.. and maybe cars like the volt might make a come back.. Maybe.. I could invest in a battery charger truck to give a quick super charge to idiots who forgot to plug their cars in the night before.., they’ll be like the idiots who Run around buying a gallon of gas But run 3/4 way across but forget they got to get home .. them idiots will be out there..
