Politics and Sports: Keep Your Hands Off My Football

My interest in sports began waning long ago. Thus, I was confused at the antics that I watched with disinterest. However, it was nice to have someone explain it all to me in simple terms. Why have sports become political? Hell, everything is political now. BTW, in case any of the sports talent, sports journalists, or purveyors of sports happen to catch my comment, NO, you're not going to lure me back regardless of what you do.
