Poland Requests U.S. Base To Guard Against Russian Aggression

The Polish government is asking the U.S. to open a military base in Poland as a counter balance to Russia. They've offered the U.S. up to $2 billion, as well as a promise to call it "Fort Trump."

Kind of mixed emotions on this. See the rationale, but as members of NATO they really just need to build, or modify an existing facility, and have it manned predominately by US forces. This situation exists in many NATO countries so I smell an ulterior motive here.

SCPO Morris Ramsey I'm German, German American I Love Germany but I most definitely think Poland would be awesome too. Not Much Difference between Prussia and Poland. Parts have been part of Prussia at times. Would be Cool to Visit where Great Grandpa Ronsiek came from.

Oh yeah John that wood patch next McGuire.. had some good post theaters.. been to few when my partners and I did a movie house scramble , including our base Theater on McGuire AFB.. I believe we got in 5 movies by 4 in the morn’g.... I was off Friday so I rested up for that night.. after room inspection was over I was already toget more sleep when I heard 1St and the dutySergeant outside my door.. again ! They were back and did visit... looked around some more, my room got picked for best room.. Base and Wing Cmdr were coming at 1300.. my roomy got off at that time.., So I’m wait’g to see who would show up 1st... My roomy did..... but didn’t stay, he grabbed a bag and took off. So the Cmdr’s came and looked.. they picked some guy in maintenance Sqdn for best Room and mine got
Runner-up.. fine by me.. you lose your privacy.. cameras click’g all over.. later your room gets broke into.. The other guy who won... his Cmdr and Base Cmdr were OTS buds from back in the days of reciprocat’g aircraft.. Maybe
