History is our story. Sadly it isn't taught that way. Teachers destroy student's interest and curiosity by preaching dates, places, and names with little context. That's why I write historical fiction. To rekindle the fires of curiosity by giving readers fictional characters for them to occupy and participate in significant events. That's also why I read historical fiction. To satisfy my own curiosity and live these events vicariously. I haven't read this author's work but here we are given a taste of the end of WWI.
