SFC Jim Ruether Whenever I do Ike homework, I never cease to be amazed. Guess what HE never did in his life? He never voted! And, his son, BG John Eisenhower became the first Eisenhower convert to the Independent party. (I guess General junior never had plans to run... since Presidency nearly killed his dad.) A great book: Ike's Bluff. I love how different he was from the man we thought we knew.
