1SG (Join to see) - You have a good point - I don't like either 'edge' of the political spectrum. media bring them to the forefront for ratings - adding to the noise.

SFC Ralph E Kelley - I don't either, which is why I am not affiliated with either party. I will remain an Independent until there is a worthy dem or rep to vote for.

1SG (Join to see) - Vote for the best person not a party. I used to be a Democrat and I still agree with some of the platform but switched to Libertarian years ago.
My disagreement with the Republicians is mainly that they are too conservative for me - but not in all areas.
Even with the Libertarian issues, I feel that they need to stop concentrating on "Top Slots" and start to put forth local and state positions. If they get the federal positions needed to win the government they would be dictators since there would be no balance within the population at the lower level.
Maybe I should join the Contraries Party.

SFC Ralph E Kelley - Same for me with the republican party. I tend to look at Independent and Libertarians first. The problem in our country is that there are those that will vote strictly on party lines even if it is not for the betterment of the country. My vote is up for grabs for any worthy candidate. My vote must be earned, I don't just give it away.
