We’ve heard a lot of claims going back and forth about the need for voter Id and if it really isn’t motivated by suppressing the vote of people likely to go for the other party. We probably all knew that North Carolina’s voter ID law was shot down due to its disparate impact. What I hadn’t realized before was the state openly stated, in court, their motivations for enacting it.
