I posted about the forged modern art paintings where the seller was supposed to be a wealthy Mexican art collector who paid cash when the artist was starving. Then there was the guy who forged Folsom points as revenge to nerdie guys who dissed his knapping abilities ( no not sleeping but making stone tools). Saying a Bedouin found it nicely solves the provenance issue. Forging artifacts has a great history. Medieval Europe had so many fragments of the Cross Christ was crucified on whole forests probably perished producing them.
