Freddy Fender & The Texas Tornados Wasted Days & Wasted Nights

"On October 14, 2006, Freddy Fender, the Tex-Mex singer, died of complications from lung cancer at the age of 69. Known for standards as ‘Before the Next Teardrop Falls’ (US No.1 in 1975) and ‘Wasted Days and Wasted Nights’." Fender served in the Marine Corps, but he was court martialed and received a Dishonorable Discharge, according to Fender for alcoholism. He later said it was changed to a General Discharge.
