It would help to contac Battle Proven Foundation. They help vets sign up for benefits and try to get together soldiers for a class action lawsuit.

Well it's still a National Guard training base and the home of the Alabama Military Academy, so quite a few of us have spent some time there recently. Can't say I'd ever heard about this or really thought about why it was shut down in the first place.

MAJ Laurie H., most of this happened while Fort McClellan was still an active post and those impacted most were active there in the sixties, seventies and eighties, I think. Massive clean up efforts were undertaken, and the area used now (northern old Fort McClellan) by the ALARNG is cleaned up and not a danger. I think there are many that are suffering that served actively there during the time periods mentioned.
