GOP candidate Mark Harris preached extensively on wives submitting to husbands

Article VI of the Constitution says it quite well "The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

My interpretation: that means it is up to each and every voter to determine on an individual basis if they want to use a candidates religious views as a disqualifier.

That's the kool-aid used by some politicians (actually, a great number of them) to get those with strong religious backgrounds to vote for them. Unfortunately, religious extremists continue to fall for it without realizing what something so extreme will do to their loved ones, their daughters, sisters and/or wife. Utah, Idaho and northern Arizona are well known Mormon places. The females there can be compared to cattle in a cattle farm, cows are there to be used for reproductions and feed the calves. Imagine being 23-27 yo female with 6, 7, 8 kids and with no help from the husband. Of course, the oldest 2 kids are always sacrificed to help raise the rest of the herd. But the reality of religious extremest in this country, especially politicians, is that their religious believes go only so deep. Once they find themselves in a sticky situation, or having to elect over party lines, they will not hesitate to step over that bible in order to get what they are after. Of course, this is a sin but they keep telling themselves that God has forgiven them so they are free to sin again, without a care in the world
