But Stokes was unarmed. As KCUR reported in July, that was just one aspect of the false narrative police constructed in the aftermath of Stokes' death.

Not only should the awards be rescinded, the officers should be charged with manslaughter at a minimum and murder as an option. They knew they were wrong and then lied in official reports to cover their asses. Anyone and everyone who knew about the lies should be fired at a minimum and charged as an accessory at a maximum.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I definitely thought about putting murder in there, but I couldn't get to the "pre-meditated" so, no first-degree murder. Maybe second degree?
