Yes, you have to be deported back to where you came from...even if you were born in the United States. The really sad part, approximately only half of US born citizens can pass the citizenship test.
I used to teach the citizenship class to ESL students when I was in college to pay the tuition, etc. I always screw up the number of representatives...they keep changing with each decade and I've got too many decades on me now to keep it straight.

You don't have to get 10 out of 100 correct. Out of the 100 possible questions, INS randomly picks 10. Then you have to get 6 of 10 correct. So to be prepared you need to learn the answers to all 100.
