From what I remember from history class, there was very little resistance by the Polish Army, Germany sweep through like a tidal wave.

It always amazed me that we fought a war against Germany for invading and seizing half of Europe, which it didn't own... Just to turn around and let Russia have the other half of Europe. I truly love history. I have read and studied and there is nothing you can share with me that will make that make sense. Patton was right. I wonder if any of the politicians quietly ever look back at the Cold War and say, "If only we'd listened to Patton"... Obviously they would never publicly admit that it was a mistake.

Millions of people in eastern European nations were liberated from Adolf Hitler's German
Nazi Third Reich occupation only to be occupied and controlled by Josef Stalin's Soviet Union communist dictatorship. In a odd twist to this WW II history story Stalin wound up
not just sharing the occupation of Poland with Adolf Hitler and Germany. Stalin's Soviet Union Red Army troops occupied all of Poland and eastern Europe. I agree with you again
on General George Patton's thoughts on the Russians as being the enemy of America.
A 46 year long Cold War with the Russians and what is going on today with Russia has
proven General Patton to be correct.
