It's hard to stay mad long enough to make someone who has offended you regret their decision/action. Unless, of course, that someone continues to offend you. Thus, we should not be heartened or discouraged by short term effects. Look to the long term.

The data is somewhat suspect. Let's see how they fare over a little time. Dick's is taking it on the chin these days with their virtue signaling. There are a lot of people, me included, that have purchased Nike products for 40 years and will no longer spend a dime on them. That is not baked into the numbers yet. Me and my wife buy a lot of Nike gear, shoes, shorts, sweats, socks, t-shirts, workout gear etc. Those days are OVER.
The long game will be the one to watch.
