really...
Pathetic attempt to link politics to the death of an American and you jumped right on board. Sad.

Pathetic POTUS did it first. Come to find out he was a legal resident.
Will POTUS apologize for is assualt on this creep? He is a murderer no don’t, but playing to his bases fears of illegals on killing sprees. If that I should not politics what is?

MSgt Michael Bischoff - Actually he's not - it appears that he used fake IDs according to the employer. The employer said they know him as a different name and that they did not use e-Verify but called the Social Security Administration to check the IDs they gave him.
Either way immigration status is moot in this case. It doesn't matter - a murderer is a murderer and if he did do it and is found guilty of it he should be punished. The max is life in prison without parole in Iowa.

Wow, that's it! I should stop being a conservative and join the DNC today then right?
Actually if you read the article before you posted false ad hominem rhetoric you would note:
"the man accused in the death of a 20-year-old University of Iowa student, worked for an Iowa farm owned by the brother of a prominent Iowa Republican."
So essentially what you're saying is that by virtue of the owner being the brother of a prominent GOP member, he must be a Republican as well.
"In a statement, Dane Lang said Rivera worked for Yarrabee Farms for four years and passed the government’s vetting process. Investigators visited the farm Monday to speak with employees"
So apparently through osmosis the owner should have know the vetting process somehow got circumvented and reported this man was actually here illegally. Of course if he even had that power, you'd be screaming "that's racial profiling", wouldn't you?
Come on MSgt, you're better than this...
How about we admit to the fact that there is a significant number of Illegal Immigrants in this country, who are committing crimes, and that this is indeed an issue we could resolve by putting more pressure on the flow coming in. And, for that matter, sending those caught up with the law back to their country.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin - The fact that he passed the government’s background vetting process should concern us all.

So vetting finds murderers. Give me a break.
So you are saying you would defend a Democrat the same way.
They would have crucified and called liars if they said the same.

No, proper vetting discovers whether the individual is in this country legally, denies them employment (per the law), and decreases the incentive of coming here.

SFC (Join to see) - But it won't... We're still in denial as a country that its possible that election fraud could be committed by people who (gasp), use falsified credentials to get registered.

What was pathetic was that USA Today billed this story above one featuring the victim and one featuring the illegal immigrant that allegedly killed her. It seems that a story about the business (that is owned by the brother of a GOP politician) that employed the killer (who supposedly was allowed to work in the U.S. based on e-Verify) is more important than that of another dreamer committing murder. I know some of you get your rocks off at the prospect that the cousin’s neighbor’s sister is related to a potential 2018 Republican candidate for the Iowa state secretary of agriculture, but c’mon man! I guess as long as you can shout…”see….Republicans…see, see, see, it was them…” it covers the fact that it is Democrats that are fully committed to open borders and the continual flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. Despicable.

Actually the majority of Democrats are not committed to "open borders" as conservatives keep saying. Here and there you have a few utopian types who want truly open borders but the majority do not.
Democrats think the wall with Mexico is costly and not an effective tool to combat illegal immigration and crime. They have proposed other types of barriers, technology and increases in border personnel and other improvements.
In 2013, every Democrat in the Senate voted for the "Gang of Eight" immigration overhaul bill that would have given $40 billion for border enforcement and deployed thousands more agents and build 700 miles of fencing. In 2006, 26 Senate Democrats voted to build 700 miles of walls and fence on the southwest border.
All 193 House Democrats have signed a proposal to enhance technology for monitoring the border, provide $110 million annually in grants for collaboration between local LE and Border Patrol.
That doesn't sound like a want by Democrats for open borders to me. It seems Democrats have been voting to enhance the ability to stop illegal immigration in other ways that would actually work. They just don't want to waste money on a wall.
