The Colorado man accused of killing his wife and two daughters was actively having an affair — and claimed his wife strangled the girls shortly after he requested a separation, according to a bombshell arrest affidavit released Monday.





Christopher Watts, 33, was charged earlier Monday with nine felony counts, including three first-degree murder charges in the deaths of his wife, Shanann, 34, and two daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3.


---- Is it possible for a mother to murder her children? Yes. It is and has happened. However, I strongly doubt his story of events and she can't defend herself.

Normal sane people who catch their spouse strangling their children don't hide the bodies of the children and the spouse. Also - why would he not restrain his pregnant wife and then call the cops? First he says they're missing, then says this? It screams domestic violence and a sociopath - oh and surprise, surprise he was having an affair. I think she found out, threatened to leave and he went nuts and killed them all so she couldn't take the kids and put him through a divorce.

I'm glad they're using his mug shot and a few other outlets have - I wish they'd stop using the happy family photos from Facebook on other outlets.
