Yes my friend SGT (Join to see) on August 16, 1968 the Beatles recorded While my Guitar Gently weeps.
It is interesting that you shared the music video of the posthumous induction of George Harrison. Originally Mrs Harrison wanted only performers who knew and played with her husband to perform.
Unfortunately Prince showboated on the stage and decided to take over the solo guitar from Marc Mann, a guitarist with Mr. Lynne’s band, who played Eric Clapton’s memorable solo from the album version of the song in the rehearsal.

This is my favorite, non-Beatles rendition of this song. Prince killed it. He makes Eric Clapton (who played the original solo and who also participated in a tribute) look like an amateur, imo.
